"

Meanwhile, Iran's Foreign Minister Hossein Amirabdollahian said yesterday at the meeting of the World Refugee Forum in Geneva, Switzerland that Iran has been the host of the longest refugee situation for more than forty-five years and now, after the developments in Afghanistan, In 2021, Iran hosts the largest displaced population in the world.

In his speech, Iran's foreign minister emphasized that the High Commissioner for Refugees and the international community should make extra efforts to facilitate the return of refugees to their countries.
