Afghan local officials have confirmed that the National Security of Directorate (NDS) director has been killed in a roadside bomb blast in Helmand province.

The governor of Helmand, Gen. Muhammad Yasin said, “Ismaeel Azizi, NDS Director for Nawa district have been killed along with two of his soldiers by a roadside bomb.”
The governor added that the incident took place in Sorkh Doz area and one police officer has also been wounded in the incident.
