A local official in the Pakistani border city of Chaman said that this delegation is supposed to discuss with the key officials of the Islamic Emirate in Kabul and Kandahar about the reduction of border tensions between the two sides.
 
According to this official, the usual border talks between the security forces of Pakistan and the Islamic Emirate have been postponed due to the delegation's trip to Afghanistan.
 
However, he added that normal activity has resumed in civilian areas on both sides of the border from Spinboldek-Chaman.
 
At the same time, Islamabad says that at least 9 Pakistani civilians were killed and 45 others were injured in two recent clashes at the Spinboldak-Chaman crossing.
 
It should be remembered that yesterday the Afghan ambassador in Islamabad announced the creation of a committee for border tensions between the two countries.
