Turkish police say that they have rescued 60 Afghan migrants, including at least 20 children, who had been stranded in the waters between Turkey and Greece for two nights.
Afghan Voice Agency (AVA) - Kabul: The media, citing a migrant stuck in the waters between Turkey and Greece, has reported that about 60 refugees, 20 of whom are children, have been stranded on a boat in the sea for hours.

These migrants have told some media that "Turkey and Greece do not help them and do not allow them to enter their land. Voices of people can also be heard in the dark saying: they have been wandering in the sea for 8-9 hours and the wind of the boat is blowing." It is emptying, children and women are crying."

According to this person, Turkey says they want to reach Greece, Greece does not accept them and Turkey does not allow them to return.

This is while on the 7th of this month, a wooden boat carrying Afghan refugees sank off the coast of Crotone in southern Italy, as a result of which at least 78 Afghan refugees lost their lives. However, the Afghan embassy in Italy announced yesterday that about 32 of the passengers of the sunken boat have been confirmed to be Afghans.

It should be noted that the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Islamic Emirate asked the charitable institutions, especially the International Red Cross Organization, to fulfill their duties in the field of finding and returning the bodies of drowned Afghans on the shores of Italy and also advised the citizens of the country to avoid traveling to foreign countries.
