More than 50 thousand Sudanese were displaced due to internal conflicts
The United Nations announced the displacement of more than 50,000 Sudanese from Khartoum and other regions of the country to safe areas.
Afghan Voice Agency (AVA): Axel Bishop, the representative of the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees in Sudan, warned about the increase in internal conflicts and the negative consequences of the displacement of Sudanese citizens to other parts of the country.
 
He added: "According to the received reports, at least 33,000 Sudanese have been displaced to refugee camps in Al-Nil Al-Abeid region, and another 5,000 people have taken refuge in the city of Kassala and another 2,000 people have taken refuge in Al-Qadarif camps."
 
Bishop continued that 14,000 people have fled to South Sudan and 16,000 others have fled to Egypt, of which 2,000 have not reached Egypt yet.
 
The UN representative emphasized that in addition to security, these people want to provide basic needs such as water, food and health.
