Afghan Voice Agency (AVA)_Monitoring, A series of discussions were held on joint cooperation in the development of Islamic financing of micro-enterprises in Afghanistan, the banning of the banking sector, the situation of the banking, and a number of related topics, between the two sides, according to a statement released by BNA.
Da Afghanistan Banking acting president Badri said that the economy of Afghanistan was broken partly due to the corona epidemic and partly due to the sanctions imposed on the banking sector of Afghanistan, but despite all these challenges, the banking sector of Afghanistan has been well managed and overall banks have maintained fairly strong capital ratios.
“Da Afghanistan Bank supported the banks by forming a special committee in the recovery to get loans, where the profits of the banks increased,” he added.
Badri said: “Da Afghanistan Bank is fully committed to the development of the Islamic financing sector of micro-enterprises and has established a comprehensive regulatory framework for licensing, services, and supervision of Islamic financing of micro-enterprises in accordance with Islamic principles,”
He says that Da Afghanistan Bank is ready to work together with the United Nations and related organs in this respect.
For her part, Mrs. Otunbayeva, termed the stability of the Afghani currency better than ever, adding that the value of the Afghani currency has had a surprising development and the best stability in the world so far.
Meanwhile, Mrs. Otunbayeva assured all-around cooperation in the development of the banking sector and the Islamic financing sector of micro-enterprises.
