Pakistani Envoy Discuss Afghanistan With UN Special Coordinator
Pakistan’s Special Representative of Afghanistan, discussed the recognition of the Islamic Emirate with UN Special Coordinator for Afghanistan.
Afghan Voice Agency (AVA)_Monitoring, Hina Rabbani Khar, the Minister of State for Foreign Affairs for the Cabinet of Pakistan, in a separate meeting with the UN Special Coordinator on Afghanistan, emphasized that international efforts should aim at creating sustainable economic pathways for Afghans.

“Underscored that international efforts should aim at creating sustainable economic pathways for ordinary Afghans, especially women & girls. Affirmed Pakistan’s commitment to work with international community towards this end,” Mumtaz Zahra Baloch, spokesman for Pakistan Foreign Ministry tweeted.

The Islamic Emirate's spokesman, Zabihullah Mujahid, said that interaction with the present Afghan government is advantageous to everyone and that other countries should take action in this regard.

“Our advice to the countries is to move on with political interaction with the Islamic Emirate and put their requests forward within the context of recognition, which will also be advantageous,” Mujahid noted.

According to some political analysts, the issue of the Islamic Emirate's recognition will not be addressed unless the demands of the world are met.

"The recognition of the Islamic Emirate is related to the acceptance of some conditions and laws of the world. In fact, the demands of the international community are also the wishes of the Afghan people, and their acceptance helps the recognition of the Islamic Emirate,” said Najibullah Shamal, a political analyst.

"It is better for Pakistan to change its policy towards Afghanistan and avoid meddling in the internal affairs of this country and respect the independence of this country,” said Sayed Bilal Ahmad Fatemi, another political analyst.

Last week, Asif Durrani, the Special Representative of Pakistan for Afghanistan, paid a three-day visit to Kabul and met with other representatives of the Islamic Emirate, including the political deputy of the Prime Minister.
