The Islamabad High Court ordered the transfer of Imran Khan to a prison with better facilities
The Islamabad High Court has ordered that Imran Khan, the former Prime Minister of Pakistan, be transferred from Attock prison to Adialeh prison, which has more facilities.
Afghan Voice Agency (AVA): Mr. Khan is currently in prison in connection with the confidential letter disclosure case. He was supposed to appear in court today (Monday, September 25, 2023) to hear this case.

However, the government of Pakistan did not present Imran Khan to the Islamabad court due to security issues, and the court did not consider Imran Khan's bail request.

Mr. Khan's lawyers accuse the government of making excuses in dealing with Imran Khan's cases.

Imran Khan's lawyer, Naeem Haider Panjuta, says: "Today, the Cypher case was being heard, and we requested Mr. Khan's bail. As you know, as in the past, there are excuses for postponement, and it happened today as well.

Imran Khan was found guilty in the case of selling government gifts early last month and was sentenced to three years in prison.

But the Islamabad High Court suspended this sentence at the end of August.

Sher Afzal Khan Marwat, the spokesperson of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf also said: "If the law made it a crime and a punishment for taking gifts from the house, then this should have been recognized as a crime and the person should have been punished." "But if you don't consider it a crime, why are you prosecuting it?"

Imran Khan leaked the secret letter last year, accusing the United States of being behind his ouster.

Shah Mehmood Qureshi, deputy of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf Party, is also under arrest in connection with this case.

Islamabad High Court is going to hear this case again on October 2.

Meanwhile, Pakistan is practically in a political and economic crisis.
