In this meeting, Maulavi Amir Khan Muttaqi, Minister of Foreign Affairs, Sheikh Shahabuddin Delawar, Minister of Mines and Petroleum, Nuruddin Azizi, Minister of Industry and Trade, Maulavi Bakht-ur-Rahman Sharaft, General Manager of Afghanistan Railways, and a number of heads of competent delegations from the center were present.
While mentioning Herat as a safe and blessed city, Minister of Mines and Petroleum, Shahabuddin Delawar called for unity and empathy among all ethnic groups and religions living in the country and said: The only way for the country to progress is the unity and integration of different ethnic groups.
Mr. Delavar also added: In the last two years, four blocks of Ghorian iron mine with an area of 950 square kilometers have been handed over to companies, on which six and a half billion dollars have been invested and thousands of people are employed.
The Minister of Mines and Petroleum also called the implementation of the TAPI project effective in the country's economic growth and emphasized: thousands of people will be employed in this project without going to other countries to work.
He also added: the route of the Herat-Ghor highway will be tarred and paved for about 350 kilometers from the lead and prospecting revenues of this province, and in addition to that, the route of Badghis province will also be built.
