This year, nearly 875 thousand children will face acute malnutrition in Afghanistan
The World Health Organization says that in 2023, about 875,000 children in Afghanistan will face acute malnutrition and 125,000 of them will face difficult conditions.
Afghan Voice Agency (AVA) - Kabul: The World Health Organization office in Afghanistan wrote in a series of tweets today, Wednesday (February 8, 2023), that in 2023, about 875,000 children will face severe malnutrition.

The administration of this organization for Afghanistan has said that about 2.3 million children are at moderate risk of malnutrition and 840 thousand pregnant women and nursing mothers will also face an emergency situation of malnutrition.

This organization had previously said that they have trained a large number of female nurses in Nangarhar, Nuristan, Kunar and Laghman hospitals in relation to acute malnutrition.

This is while in most remote parts of the country, most people do not have access to health centers to diagnose their children's diseases.

It should be noted that the lack of nutritious foods, poverty and scarcity have caused more children to suffer from malnutrition in different parts of the country.
