Afghanistan ‘Hope’ for Direct Flights to India
Afghanistan’s caretaker government hopes for the resumption of flights between New Delhi and Kandahar.
Afghan Voice Agency (AVA)_Monitoring, The Islamic Emirate-run government in Afghanistan are optimistic that India will agree to resume direct flights between New Delhi and Kandahar, reported by Hindustan Times.
 
Last week, the Islamic Emirate welcomed India’s budget for the 2023-24 financial year, saying that the announcement of aid by India for Afghanistan would help improve ties and trust between the two nations.
 
“We appreciate India’s support for Afghanistan’s development. It will help to improve ties and trust between the two nations,” Suhail Shaheen, a former negotiation member team, said.
 
The Ministry of Transportation and Civil Aviation of Afghanistan tweeted on February 4th that direct flights from Ahmad Shah Baba International Airport to Dubai began on Sunday.
 
These flights are operated by Kam Air, according to Haji Zaid, a spokesman for Kandahar’s governor.
 
Meanwhile, Kam Air officials said they are working to resume flights between Kandahar and New Delhi and Kandahar and China.
