Torkham crossing is fully reopened
The border crossing of Torkham has been fully opened since this morning, Saturday (Friday, February 24), and passengers and commercial vehicles are moving normally on both sides of the crossing.
Afghan Voice Agency (AVA) - Kabul: Noor Muhammad Hanif, the directorate of information and culture of Nangarhar province, said in a statement that the Torkham crossing has been fully opened for all types of traffic since this morning, Saturday, February 25, 2023.

Based on the declaration, the problem of Afghan citizens who were stuck on both sides of Torkham has been solved and now Afghan travelers can return to the country.

On the other hand, the Afghan embassy in Islamabad has also announced that Torkham crossing has been fully reopened to traffic from both sides.

This embassy tweeted today that the gate of Torkham has been opened from both sides for all kinds of traffic.

Meanwhile, the local officials in Nangarhar province also confirm that the Torkham crossing has been reopened for passenger and commercial vehicles.

It should be noted that the Torkham crossing was blocked from Monday following the armed conflict between the border forces of the Islamic Emirate and the border guards of Pakistan for any passenger and commercial goods transit.

While the Torkham crossing was still closed to traffic, on Tuesday a high-ranking Pakistani security delegation led by Defense Minister Khawaja Muhammad Asif and General Nadeem Anjam, the head of the country's intelligence agency, traveled to Kabul and met with senior officials of the Islamic Emirate.

Further, the Afghan embassy in Pakistan announced that this crossing will be reopened on Thursday, 4th of August. But two days ago, Torkham crossing was blocked again hours after reopening. The authorities of the Islamic Emirate announced that this crossing was opened by them; But the Pakistani side has prevented the passage of passengers and trucks.
