Afghan Voice Agency (AVA) - Tehran: On the first day of this meeting, contracts worth 15 million dollars were signed in the fields of information and information technology, medical industries, new energies, etc. Also, in this event, the establishment of 10 super companies with a capital of one billion dollars was put on the agenda of the D8 countries.
Ruhollah Dehghani Firouzabadi, Vice President for Science and Technology of Iran, at the TIM2023 technology investment event, referring to the high capacity of the D8 member countries, said: having one-eighth of the world's population and 60% of the Muslim population, along with special opportunities such as communication with the sea, mines, energy, capable manpower, market of education and research and consumption of innovation has provided a special place for these countries.
He added: The technology investment event and events like this are of interest and importance, and the development of international cooperation is on the agenda of the Islamic Republic.
Dehghani said: The creation of a foreign country with great economic opportunities and a vast market with cultural and intellectual affinities and human and territorial opportunities by the D8 countries can help the growth and development of these countries.
In this meeting, Isiaka Abdul Ghadir Imam, the Secretary General of the Economic Cooperation Organization of Eight Islamic Developing Countries known as D8, said: D8 member countries can have extensive cooperation with convergence and synergy.
Abdul Ghadir Imam added: In the previous meetings of the team, we had agreements about extensive cooperation, the follow-up and implementation of which can lead to the growth of technology.
The Secretary General of D8 also asked the member countries of this organization to cooperate in the fields of information technology, agriculture, tourism, etc. in Iran and other member countries to provide the basis for the growth of these countries.
It is worth mentioning that the fifth technology investment event TIM2023 reached its final station on Tuesday evening, March 1, with the appreciation of the top technologists, and according to the announcement of the sixth edition of the TIM event, it will be hosted by Malaysia next year.
