Mujahid: The words of the UN special rapporteur on human rights are negative propaganda against the Islamic Emirate
Zabihullah Mujahid, the spokesman of the Islamic Emirate, in response to the words of Richard Bennett, the UN special rapporteur on human rights, regarding the imposition of 50 restrictive decrees against women by the Afghan government, said that Richard Bennett's words about the situation in Afghanistan are not in accordance with reality and are negative propaganda.
Afghan Voice Agency (AVA) - Kabul: Richard Bennett, the United Nations Special Rapporteur on Human Rights, said yesterday (Monday, June 19) at the beginning of the 52nd session of the Human Rights Council of this organization: "It is necessary to look away from let's not We must do our best to confront and end the severe deprivation of basic rights of women and girls in Afghanistan."
 
Meanwhile, Zabihullah Mujahid, the spokesman of the Islamic Emirate, has published a tweet today (Tuesday, June 20, 2023) and said that the United Nations and some western institutions and governments have launched extensive negative propaganda against the Islamic Emirate.
 
Mujahid added: "Richard Bennett's report on the situation in Afghanistan is one of those propagandas that do not match the facts."
 
The spokesman of the Islamic Emirate noted that Islamic laws are in force in Afghanistan, protests against them are a problem with Islam.
 
The meeting of the Human Rights Council on the situation of Afghan women is being held in Genoa.
 
In this meeting, Mr. Bennett will present his latest findings to the world with the working group against discrimination against women and girls.
 
In his last report, he said that the Islamic Emirate has issued more than 50 restrictive decrees against Afghan women and girls.
 
In this report, Bennett interviewed 79 Afghans, including 67 women inside and outside Afghanistan, including human rights defenders, journalists, lawyers, university professors, entrepreneurs, teachers, students, social service workers, and business women.
