Mujahid: The reports of the United Nations Security Council are far from reality and contradict the principles of independence
Zabihullah Mujahid, the spokesman of the Islamic Emirate, called the recent UN Security Council report one-sided, unbalanced and far from reality and said that the publication of such reports and the continuation of UN Security Council sanctions are "full of prejudice and conflict with the principles of independence".
Afghan Voice Agency (AVA) - Kabul: Zabihullah Mujahid, the spokesman of the Islamic Emirate, published a statement yesterday (Sunday, June 10) saying that the UN Security Council's report reflects the "baseless" accusations against the Islamic Emirate.

He added that the claims of differences between the leaders of the Islamic Emirate, the presence of terrorist groups in Afghanistan, the involvement of the members of the Islamic Emirate in drug trafficking and their monopoly of power are baseless and "open enmity with the people and the independent system and repeating the useless and biased propaganda of the past 20 years."

The spokesman of the Islamic Emirate added that he strongly rejects the assessment of this report that the Islamic Emirate is helping the opponents of neighboring countries and the region or using Afghanistan's soil against other countries.

Mujahid added that it appears from the content of the United Nations Security Council report that either the authors do not have access to the information, or they intentionally distort the facts, or they are the source of information for the fugitive opponents of the Islamic Emirate.

He said that the Islamic Emirate emphasizes that they are bound by their obligations and guarantee that there is no threat from Afghanistan's soil to neighboring countries, the region and the world.

The spokesman of the Islamic Emirate has noted that the cultivation, production and trafficking of narcotics in Afghanistan has greatly decreased.

Zabihullah Mujahid said that the publication of such "unilateral and unreliable reports by the Security Council not only does not help Afghanistan and international peace and security, but also increases people's concern and doubts about the independence and impartiality of the United Nations and harms the reputation of this organization."
