Clashes in Nigeria left 113 dead
Local authorities in Nigeria say armed robbers have killed at least 113 people in coordinated attacks on 20 villages in the region since Saturday. 300 people were injured in these attacks.
Afghan Voice Agency (AVA): Officials in Nigeria have said that 113 people have been killed in a series of attacks by armed robbers on villages located in Plateau state of this country in the last two days.
 
On Monday night, December 25, AFP reported that another 300 people were injured in these attacks.
 
"At least 113 bodies have been found during the clashes that started on Saturday morning," said Mandy Casa, the head of the local government in Bukus.
 
According to him, armed robbers have carried out coordinated attacks in 20 different villages.
 
The northwest of Nigeria is also one of the insecure areas of this African country.
 
According to reports, there are about 30,000 armed robbers in this area.
 
According to the authorities of this country, the armed robbers are related to the Bukram Haram group.
 
This group, which is said to be close to Al-Qaeda and ISIS, has started its attacks in the northeast of Nigeria since 2009 and then expanded its scope to other African countries.
 
Meanwhile, according to the United Nations Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Aid (OCHA), more than 30,000 people have been killed and three million displaced in Nigeria since the Boko Haram group's activities.
