The first media festival of the western region was held with the introduction of the best media

Afghan Voice Agency (AVA) - Herat: This festival was held in the presence of the Minister of Publications of the Ministry of Information and Culture, the head of information and culture of Herat, the head of the TIKA office, media officials and journalists in Herat.

 

In this event, Ahmed Saeed Haghigi, a university professor and one of the judges of this festival, said: In this festival, 144 people from Sana'a competed in their media activities for judging, and as a result, 7 of the best media in the fields of documentary, News anchor, presenter, reporter, photographer and radio program were selected.

 

According to him, awards to the media are based on the standards of the journalistic profession.

 

Meanwhile, Maulvi Hayatullah Mohajer, Deputy Minister of Information and Culture of the country, said: supporting the media is the priority of the Islamic Emirate.

 

He added: They have been trying to solve the problems of the media and the problem of journalists' access to information has also been solved to some extent.

 

On the other hand, Maulvi Ahmadullah Motaghi, head of information and culture in Herat, also mentioned the media as an important part of the society.

 

He emphasized that the Department of Information and Culture of Herat Province works together with other institutions to improve the situation of information and solve the problems of media and journalists.

 

Also, Arafat Diniz, the head of the TIKA office in Herat and the financial sponsor of this festival, called the holding of the first media festival an important step in the future of the media and journalists and assured the continued cooperation of the TIKA office in this field with the media support and monitoring committee.

 

It should be mentioned that in the first festival of the best media in the western region, 7 journalists and media presenters in the western region of the country won the top position.
