Increasing the number of asylum seekers crossing the English Channel to reach the UK
According to British government statistics, at least 11,434 refugees have entered the country by boat through the English Channel in the past six months.
Afghan Voice Agency (AVA): Sky News reported that in June alone, 3,824 refugees arrived in Britain, which represents an unprecedented increase in the past five years.

The media added that 155 migrants arrived in Britain in three separate boats on Friday.

According to the latest reports, the arrival of asylum seekers to the UK through the English Channel has increased compared to previous years.

Last year, 3140 migrants entered the UK after crossing the English Channel. This figure was about 2177 in 2021, 727 in 2020, and only four in 2018.

The influx of refugees into Britain has once again heated up the immigration debate among members of the right-wing Conservative Party, with British Prime Minister Rishi Sunak now under pressure from his own party for failing to deliver on his promise to stop the influx.

While opposing Britain's flexible immigration system, right-wing politicians have called on Rishi Sunak to minimize immigration to the UK.

Lee Anderson, the deputy leader of Britain's Conservative Party, pointed to the cultural and economic consequences of immigration and said that reducing the number of asylum seekers entering the country was an important part of the party's appeal.
The Prime Minister of the Conservative Party said: As members of the Conservative Party, we believe in democracy and government for the British people, not non-British people.

Members of the ruling Conservative Party have presented the prime minister with a new 12-point plan, which in part calls for an end to temporary visas for workers and a cap on the number of refugees allowed to stay in the UK.
