Officials in the Ministry of Industry and Trade say that the daily import contract of 4.5 million tons of oil and flour, which was previously signed with Russia, will be implemented soon.
Afghan Voice Agency (Ava) - Kabul: Abdul Salam Akhundzada Javad; The spokesperson of the Ministry of Industry and Trade stated in an interview with Ava reporter that according to the contract, one million tons of diesel, one million tons of gasoline, 500 thousand tons of liquid gas and two million tons of flour will be imported from Russia to Afghanistan.
 
Javad added that this contract was concluded with the Russian side for one year and if the citizens of the country request, in addition to extending the contract, the amount of imports will also increase.
 
Based on Javad's statements, this contract will be implemented soon.
 
Javad also welcomed the statements of Alexander Novak, the Deputy Prime Minister of Russia regarding the country's readiness to export gas to Afghanistan and Pakistan and emphasized that Afghanistan wants these statements to be implemented.
 
Before this, "Alexander Novak" said that in the long term, Russia can export its natural gas to the markets of Afghanistan and Pakistan, and this action can be done by using infrastructure projects in Central Asia or through exchange from Iranian soil.
 
Javad pointed out that the implementation of this project will greatly reduce the price of liquid gas in the country's markets and all citizens will have access to a quality fuel.
 
The spokesperson of the Ministry of Industry and Trade is making these statements that a kilo of liquefied gas is sold in the market for 65 Afghanis, the price of a liter of petrol is 76 Afghanis and the price of a liter of diesel is 92 Afghanis.
