Muttaqi: Reports Should Present True Image of Afghanistan
In a meeting with the head of UNAMA, Acting Minister of Foreign Affairs, said that reports about Afghanistan shared by the United Nations should present a true image of Afghanistan to the world.
Afghan Voice Agency (AVA)_Monitoring, According to a statement of the Foreign Ministry, Acting Minister of Foreign Affairs, Mawlavi Amir Khan Muttaqi, met with Roza Otunbayeva, head of UNAMA, and other representatives of the United Nations in Afghanistan.
 
In the meeting they discussed on the continuation and consolidation interaction between the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan and the member states of the United Nations, the fight against drugs, United Nations reports on Afghanistan, and other topics.
 
Mrs. Otunbayeva called the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan’s efforts effective in the fight against drugs and said that satellite images and investigative reports from neutral organizations confirm the positive outcome of counternarcotics in Afghanistan.
 
The Acting Foreign Minister expressed his gratitude for the assistance of various countries, and international humanitarian aid, saying that the Islamic Emirate has prepared an environment suitable for the transparent and independent distribution of aid to the impoverished families in the country.
 
However, Acting Foreign Minister recommended that reports about the humanitarian situation in Afghanistan should be prepared in terms of tone and facts which portray the real image of the country.
 
Later on, both sides emphasized the continuation of such meetings for better coordination in order to interact with each other.
